Avaya Holdings adds new capabilities to Avaya Spaces

Avaya Spaces provides browser and mobile app access and administration of users through Avaya Aura and Avaya IP Office

Avaya Spaces is available on a subscription-based pricing model that makes it easy for customers to scale their consumption based on their specific and evolving needs.

Avaya Holdings has added new capabilities to Avaya Spaces that embrace a multi-experience approach by centralising voice, video, messaging, chat and task management in one place to improve productivity and increase employee satisfaction.

Avaya Spaces create a workspace or digital work hub where users can collaborate via messaging, meetings and share content, offering a converged environment for team collaboration for an economical and secure way to communicate through a multitude of channels.

Savio Tovar Dias, the Senior Director—Sales Engineering, Avaya International, said, “The expectations of employees and customers and how they want to engage is driving the shift towards a blended communications model of interactions across a variety of channels.”

The enhancements to Avaya Spaces include availability in more than 60 countries, cloud spaces for messaging and meetings, file sharing, and task management and economical HD video meetings for up to 500 participants.

Digital experts said that over the next decade, user experience for digital workers will undergo a significant shift, adopting new ways to interact, perceive and communicate, moving to a model that connects people with more nuanced information regardless of location.

Jim Lundy, the CEO of Aragon Research, said, “Avaya, with its Spaces platform, has responded to this shift and now offers a complete collaboration-based work hub that supports office-based and mobile knowledge workers.”
