Dubai eGovernment signs agreement to provide eLearning solutions to Noor Islamic Bank

By: Staff Writer Print this article

Dubai eGovernment has signed an agreement with Noor Islamic Bank, to provide a full range of eLearning courses to the bank's employees. The move is part of initiatives by Dubai eGovernment to improve efficiency among business organisations by helping them achieve 100 per cent adoption of eServices.

Abdul Rahman Fekri, head of HR, Noor Islamic Bank
Under the terms of the agreement, Dubai eGovernment will provide 125 courses to a select group of employees of Noor Islamic Bank. The employees may access the courses through Dubai eGovernment's eLearning portal, www.elearn.ae. Some of the courses offered are telephone skills, effective communication, listening skills, handling difficult calls, and understanding cultural differences.

"Dubai's transition into a knowledge-based economy will be largely dependent on society's readiness to adopt and utilise electronic-enabled tools and services. As such, it is Dubai eGovernment's mission to help all members of the society enhance their competency and skills to use the eServices now widely available. This partnership with Noor Islamic Bank represents a step towards realising our mission and achieving the long-term aspirations of Dubai," said Moza Al Akraf, IT manager, Dubai eGovernment.

Abdul Rahman Fekri, Head of HR, Noor Islamic Bank, commented: "We are a results-driven organisation and we believe that maximising our ability to provide convenient eLearning courses is critical to ensure motivated and productive employees. We are delighted with this agreement as we are confident of the excellent track record of Dubai eGovernment in the field of eServices and other electronic-enabled tools and services."

Don't always believe policy makers
Mr. Bernanke tries to be upbeat but US economic data remains weak; policy makers around the world need to face up to the potential deflation risks; no change to our cautious stance on markets
