Calyon acts as MLA and bookrunner for the first international project financing in Israel
In 2007, Calyon was appointed as mandated lead arranger alongside Espirito Santo Investment for arranging the financing of the Hadera project, a 100 million cubic metre sea water desalination project in Israel. The project is being developed by two leading Israeli sponsors, IDE Technologies, a joint venture between Delek Group and Israel Chemical, and Shikun & Binuy on a 50/50 basis. Hadera will be the largest desalination plant in the world using the reverse osmosis technology.
