Clubs spend a record $360 million in January transfer window
Premier League clubs bucked the current economic trend by spending a record £225 million ($360 million) in the January 2011 transfer window, beating the previous record of £175 million ($280 million) in January 2008 by £50 million ($80 million), according to analysis by the business advisory firm Deloitte.
