Euro area unemployment rate at 10.1 per cent
The euro area (EA16) seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 10.1 per cent in September 2010, compared with 10.0 per cent in August. It was 9.8 per cent in September 2009. The EU271 unemployment rate was 9.6 per cent in September 2010, unchanged compared with August. It was 9.3 per cent in September 2009.
