Standard Chartered Saadiq, Bank Muamalat manage Bernas Sukuk
The Sukuk issuance marks the first time that Bernas, the Malaysia rice industry regulator, has tapped Islamic finance for funding. The Islamic commercial papers/medium-term notes (ICP/MTN) programme was assigned respective long- and short-term ratings of 'AA3' and 'P1' with stable outlook by RAM Ratings Services.
