The sun also rises: Securitisation in new markets

A new report from Moody’s on securitisation says 2007 that proved challenging for structured finance globally, including in new markets. However, it has also emphasised some key differences between individual markets and the importance of geographic diversification. The report said global volume of securitisation in new markets increased by 23 per cent to $46.6 billion in 2007, from $38 billion in 2006.
