MENA Infrastructure Fund buys into Egyptian port

The $500 million MENA Infrastructure Fund, which is sponsored by DICAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai International Capital, HSBC Bank Middle East and Waha Capital, has made its first investment, acquiring a minority stake in Egypt-based Alexandria International Container Terminals SAE (AICT), for an undisclosed sum. Other investors comprise of pension funds and financial institutions from across the MENA region and Europe.
