Omnia Pay joins Visa’s Global Accelerated Connection Platform
Omnia Pay, one of the region’s leading FinTech companies, has been approved to connect directly to Visa through its Visa Accelerated Connection Platform (ACP).
As a focused payment technology provider in Middle East and Africa (MENA), Omnia Pay’s hosted platform has been successfully validated by Visa for a large range of card types, industries and payment services.
“This is an excellent achievement for Omnia and will not only benefit our clients but their customers as well with increased accessibility and convenience. Through a direct connection to Visa’s global network, we are now able to offer regional merchants access to an array of off-the-shelf mPOS and mobile payment technologies, loyalty programmes, as well as real time offer redemption,” said Maseeh Ahmed, Founder and CEO of Omnia Pay.
The approval comes after Omnia Pay recently completed and gained approval through the Visa Ready for mPOS programme, which helps device manufacturers, software developers, merchants, and acquirers build and implement solutions that meet Visa’s requirements for a reliable, convenient, and secure mobile point of sale experience.
“Visa is committed to helping merchants of all sizes grow their businesses by benefitting from new payment innovations. The Visa Accelerated Connection Platform helps us to do this by streamlining the roll-out of next generation solutions to merchants, or leveraging existing payments technology to deliver new customer experiences. We are delighted to work with Omnia Pay in deploying innovative payment solutions and infrastructure and expanding the digital payments acceptance base in the UAE and wider region,” said Mohanish Agni, Head of Merchant Sales & Solutions, MENA Region Visa.
The Visa ACP programme enables payment technology providers to connect directly to Visa’s global processing network, which secures transactions using end-to-end (E2E) and tokenized solutions.
span style="font-size: small;">Visa ACP provides merchants and customers with access to new payment technologies by authorising transactions directly to Visa, the world’s leader in digital payments. This is particularly important for small businesses to be able to offer customers access to the next generation payment innovation. The benefit to the consumer is increased card acceptance, in turn, providing merchants with connection to more than two billion Visa cardholders worldwide.
Omnia is favourably positioned to deliver engaging customer experience solutions and has recently announced several industry certifications with key payment service providers that recognises the capabilities of its payment solutions. The company recently announced the deployment of its mPOS solutions at Home Centre’s 100 stores across Middle East, Africa and India.
