Mack the Knife leaving Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley’s Chairman and CEO John Mack, nicknamed ‘Mack the knife’ for his cost-cutting abilities, is stepping down as CEO. Co-President James P. Gorman is taking over the position, effective 1 January 2010.
