EY ME Hotel Benchmark survey – Dubai occupancy drops YoY to 87 per cent

Dubai’s overall hospitality market recorded an average occupancy rate of 87 per cent in January 2014, a slight drop from January 2013 of 2.6 per cent percentage points (pp). In addition, over 2,780 new hotel rooms within the four and five star hotel segments were added to Dubai’s room supply during 2013, according to research undertaken by EY.
