Jon Winkelried to exit Goldman
Jon Winkelried, the President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs and a member of its Board of Directors is retiring effective 31 March 2009. Winkelried has been with the firm since 1982 and served as President and Co-Chief Operating Officer and a director since June 2006. Prior to that, he served in many roles, including as co-head of the investment banking division and co-head of the fixed income, currency and commodities business. He will continue to be affiliated with the firm as a senior director.
