Qtel ups its stake in Iraq

Qatar Telecom (Qtel) announced on Wenesday that it has reached an agreement to increase its stake in Asiacell (the Iraqi mobile operator) from 30% to 60% for a total amount of AED5.4 billion ($1.47 billion).
