NBF closes half-year with $41 million net profit

National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) has announced its half year results for the period ended 30 June, recording a profit of $41.8 million. The half year result was $245 million above the corresponding half year profit in 2007, but NBF said its “strong core business performance” coupled with the appreciation of investment fair values, helped bridge a 31 per cent deficit in the first quarter earnings of 2008.
