Ten per cent surge in worldwide luxury goods sales projected for 2010

The global crisis in worldwide luxury goods sales came to an end in the fourth quarter of 2009, ending a first-ever full year decline in sales, of eight per cent, and is now projected to rise 10 per cent in 2010, reaching €168 billion/$235.1 billion (nearly eclipsing its historical market peak of €170 billion in 2007); according to Bain & Company, which has released the ninth edition of its bellwether 'Luxury Goods Worldwide Market Study.'
