Eurozone nations average tax burden near to 44 per cent of GDP
Research by accountancy network UHY shows that among the G8 nations only Russia has a tax burden less than 20 per cent of GDP while the major Eurozone economies face an average tax burden of nearly 44 per cent (43.4 per cent) of GDP. The BRIC economies still take, on average, less than 30 per cent of GDP in tax.
