What a difference a day makes?
101 years ago today the world’s first International Women’s Day took place amidst angry protests for the right to vote, equal pay and reproductive rights. Fast forward to today and it is a subdued affair of fuzzy marketing campaigns, glossy pamphlets and patronising celebrations of a small percentage who managed to crack the glass ceiling.
