Arab spring - take two?

Tahrir Square once again the scene of democracy protests in Cairo, what some may go so far as to call civil war in Syria, the go/stay coin-flipping by Yemeni leader Ali Abdullah Saleh and unrest in Bahrain. The Arab spring appears distinctly unseasonal and ongoing in nature. Is there really a power shift occurring in parts of the Middle East and North Africa as a result of this Arab awakening? Or will it be a case of ‘Meet the new boss, same as the old boss,” as Pete Townshend wrote in the rock song "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who all the way back in 1971 (a date and realization that may make some feel a touch old).
