Passage to India

Many from my home country, all ready bearing the burden of rising energy costs, pay freezes and rising taxes, are slightly peeved by the British Government’s decision to continue international aid to India. After all, why should Britain, which is still trying to claw its way out of a deep financial hole, throw a lifeline to a country with one of the world’s fastest growing economies, three times as many billionaires as Britain and its own space and international aid programme.
