This time last year the Regional Policy Brief on Improving Corporate Governance of Banks in the MENA Region was published. This week I was in Muscat to host a session at “A New Leaf: the Growth of Corporate Governance in the MENA Region”, the annual regional conference on governance this year co-organised by the Oman Centre for Corporate Governance, Capital Market Authority, the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
